RIP Tiny “Deebo” Lister. America’s favorite bully was a born entertainer who would pop into character at the drop of a hat terrifying people on and off camera. Followed by a big smile and laugh. Thank you for being a good dude at heart. I miss you already. pic.twitter.com/jIl8yEZU9c

Despite permanent blindness in the right eye since birth, Tommy Lister Jr., quickly nicknamed “Tiny” (“tiny”), distinguished himself in varsity sport during his youth, obtaining a scholarship in the shot put in the California State University of Los Angeles and playing some American football games. His massive build (1m96, 130 kilos) opens the doors to cinema … and wrestling at the same time.
While illustrating himself in small beefy roles in various Hollywood productions (Runaway Train, Eight Million Ways to Die, The Beverly Hills Cop 2 or the 1st & Ten series where he plays a recurring character for several seasons), the Colossus thus invites himself into the ring of the WWF where he becomes between 1989 and 1990 one of the best enemies of Hulk Hogan, under the pseudonym of Zeus.
In the 90s, he made multiple appearances on the big screen (Universal Soldier, The Revenge of Jessie Lee, Last Hours in Denver) and small screen (The Prince of Bel-Air, Emergencies, New York Police Blues). He obtained a certain notoriety thanks to the characters of Deebo in Friday and its sequel Next Friday, Winston in Jackie Brown by Quentin Tarantino and especially President Lindberg of the Fifth Element of Luc Besson, leader of the Federated Territories bringing together “nearly 200 billion fellow citizens” .
Extremely active during the decades 2000 and 2010 in the cinema as in television, Tommy “Tiny” Lister Jr. had notably embodied the moral prisoner of The Dark Knight, in the memorable ultimatum scene of the Joker involving two ferries from Gotham City. He was also convicted in 2015 in a real estate fraud case organized between 2005 and 2007.
